Lotus Grill works as follows: a battery driven ventilator combined with the burning paste burns the charcoal in its little recipient. The charcoal becomes incandescent without any flames after about 3 to 4 minutes, so the grill is super fast to start. The heat is diffused directly onto the grill above the coal recipient and by diffusion by the stainless bowl. Since the coal recipient is closed, no fat can directly drip into any open fire and potentially cause flames. The coal should stay active for about one hour, which is more than enough to prepare a barbecue for two people. After usage, let the grill cool down (especially the charcoal recipient stays very hot), then clean the grill and the bowl..
The Lotus Grill is a charcoal barbecue with a difference: it uses a battery-powered fan to speed up cooking. What's more, the fan speed is variable, so you can literally turn a knob to control the heat levels. It was ready to use in only five minutes – and the results were very impressive. Plus, it's safe to use on a tabletop.
The best barbecue we’d ever used and the best steaks we’d ever cooked – perfectly brown on the outside, pink and tender inside. You can see our menu and recipes below.
The revolutionary LotusGrill, designed in Germany, transforms the way you barbecue; it cooks your food with that great chargrilled flavour, but with virtually no smoke. The LotusGrill is intended to be the ultimate in portable cooking; because of the lack of smoke it’s perfect for those with limited back garden space, or even those who may only have a balcony to entertain on. It’s deceptively light so it’s also brilliant for taking camping, on a picnic, to the beach – or even on your boat
